The fuzzy new filly on the Campus Farm earned its name, Out of the Blue. Unbeknownst to anyone, the farm’s lesson horse, Noble, was pregnant when she came to campus. She delivered a foal in December—and a surprise to students who discovered the addition the next morning. Terps from the Spring 2022 equine reproductive management class made sure the pair was healthy, and a LaunchUMD campaign surpassed its $4,000 fundraising goal to cover the unexpected costs.
