No mention is made of the many employees and offices that will be displaced by the renovation of Cole, like the Maryland English Institute, which since 1980 has been housed in four different elderly buildings. Each time a building is slated for renovation, MEI is moved to yet another crumbling building! This is only the latest such move. Hopefully, one of these days UMD will run out of decrepit spaces and they will have to put us someplace decent!

I have many fond memories of Cole Field House, but times change and memories of the past must regretably give way to the present. I question if entrepreneurialship can be taught. It seems to be a personal trait. However those with such an trait or interest can be encouraged and perhaps through case studies anticipate the issues they may face, such as monitoring cash flow and raising capital (not an easy task).
Good luck.

That's great news for the university community. I think it's Just the right time to revitalize Cole Field House as it will be a hub for innovation and a national model for integrating athletics, academics and research. Appreciate the share!
